Biography:

Jana Fawaz Elhassan (جنى فواز الحسن) is a Lebanese novelist and journalist, born in 1985. She has published investigative pieces and general articles in several newspapers and also literary texts and short stories in the cultural supplements of An-Nahar and the Bahrain Cultural Magazine.

Her first novel (2009) won the Simon Hayek Prize in Batroun, northern Lebanon. Her second novel Me, Her and the Other Women is shortlisted for the 2013 International Prize for Arab Fiction.

She recently translated the OUP publication: 2030: Technology That will Change the World. She currently works as a reporter for The Daily Star.

Her novel 'Floor 99’ has been short listed for Arabic Booker prize in 2015.
