Biography:

Fatima Al Mazroui (فاطمة المزروعي ) is an Emirati author, academic and member of the Federal National Council (FNC) based in Abu Dhabi. She has a PhD in Arabic Language and Literature, and from 1999-2006 was Assistant Professor at UAE University, before joining the FNC. She has served on the committees for Health, Labour and Social Affairs Committee and Education, Youth Media and Culture.

In October 2010, her book Monafarat in Pre-Islamic Literature was awarded the prize for Best UAE Book at the Sharjah International Book Fair.
